Upon introduction to Wyett Interiors, it was clear we would have no shortage of enthusiasm, knowledge, and ambition. Co-founders Kelly Boyett Welch and Amy Boyett-Whiter came to us with plans to launch their own interior design company after years of education and experience in the industry. They needed a identity system that reflected their thoughtful and articulate design approach, and so we left no corner unswept.
We began with identifying Wyett’s archetype, which became foundational to informing the remaining purpose, pillars, tone of voice, and personality of the brand. Wyett Interiors began to take shape as a design collective offering elegance, practicality, and achievability. With audience groups in both the residential and commercial sects, each design initiative would be approached with an elevated experience in mind.
Thus far, however, the dynamic sister conglomerate carried no suitable name to match the refined and intuitive brand persona of their new business. We conducted a naming workshop and pitched ‘Wyett”- a combination of the shared last names and familial bond of “Boyett Welch” and “Boyett-Whiter.” Wyett is confident, accomplished, refined, and visionary.
As a brand that exudes modern luxury, we began with a moodboard concept that combined sleek sophistication with organic warmth. We wanted to present Wyett as contemporary and inviting, showcasing the high-quality materials used in Wyett's designs.
The color palette revolves around an understated cream and muted copper, highlighting the subtle beauty of restraint. The wordmark carries particular intrigue with the combination of sharp angles, soft curves, and weighted balance. The double “-tt” is a nod to the bond and connectedness uniquely reserved for the sister-partnership in this entrepreneurial endeavor. Doubled lines and angles carry the theme through and bring a tactile element to pattern. As a whole Wyett’s visuals evoke a beautiful paradox of down-to-earth simplicity, intrigue and sophistication.
In keeping with simplicity and sophistication, we approached web with the desire to cull the clutter and showcase the essential elements of Wyett. Our animated features serve as a gentle guide—allowing users to walk away with a clear understanding of who Wyett is and what Wyett is capable of—all while actually enjoying the discovery experience. The navigational ease built into Wyett’s digital identity mirrors the soothing process of designing with Wyett and the featured content allows the quality of their work to stand alone.
