When Georgia Southern added the University’s East Georgia Campus in Swainsboro, the existing Bobcats athletics program came with it. Divisional rules blocked a straight Eagle extension from Georgia Southern, and carrying the Bobcats forward would have created confusion. Pioneer led the naming and brand strategy work to establish a distinct yet familiar identity: the Georgia Southern Golden Eagles.
The visual identity and direction for uniforms and environmental applications was built on a full strategic foundation, including archetype, positioning, pillars, and voice, so the brand arrived with something to say and the clarity to say it.
